Mike has been with Smith & Gesteland since 1989. As a partner in Assurance Services, his concentration includes audits, reviews, and compilations, employee benefit plans, and works with businesses in the manufacturing/supply chain, construction, and financial industries.

Audits, Reviews, and Compilations
He has a thorough knowledge of GAAP reporting for manufacturers/distributors, contractors, financial institutions, and employee benefit plans.

Manufacturing/Supply Chain
As the chair of our manufacturing/supply chain group, he has considerable experience in the areas of manufacturing, including expertise in overhead allocation, inventory costing, and UNICAP applications. Mike has helped companies develop bills of materials and implement standard costing systems. He has also assisted clients with mergers and acquisitions.

Employee Benefit Plans
Mike supervises our employee benefits practice. He has provided clients with a wide range of services including preparing Form 5500, conducting audits, and consulting on a variety of issues. Mike has experience with all types of pension and benefit plans.
